Job Description
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Order Entry Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will develop a strong working rapport with our national customer base, work strategically with customers, peers, and management, and handle customer requests and orders efficiently.
ResponsibilitiesDevelop working rapport with our national customer baseWork strategically with customers, peers, and managementReview customer requests and provide quotes to match requirementsFollow up via email and phone to see if quotes have been won or lostReceive and enter customer ordersCoordinate shipping to meet customer expectationsWork effectively with Production Control, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Engineering, and Accounting departments during all phases of quote and order processesReview and resolve customer issues that may ariseCommit to daily learning and 100% effortEssential SkillsStrong computer skills with emphasis on using Excel and Microsoft OfficeStrong organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to multitask in a fast-paced environmentExceptional oral and written communication skillsExcellent phone call etiquetteAptitude to develop knowledge of all products and services offeredBasic math knowledge with some geometrical functionsAdditional Skills & QualificationsPrevious experience with ERP systems useful but not requiredAbility to read and interpret basic blueprints is desired but not requiredPossess some mechanical aptitudeCollege, Community College degree or online classes (certificate) a plus but not requiredEnthusiasm, self-confidence, and a good attitudeHigh school diploma/equivalent or comparable in related experienceDispatch experience preferred but not requiredWork Environment
This position operates in a professional office environment. The standard work hours are Monday to Friday from 7am to 4:30pm. The role requires significant use of computers and telephones. Dress code is business casual.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00
