Job Description
The Order Entry/Customer Service Pharmacy Technician is responsible for order entry and triage. The technician handles incoming calls and directs them appropriately, engaging with LTC facilities, pharmacists, nurses, and physicians. Responsibilities include processing drug orders via faxes and other forms, answering medication-related questions, and assessing patient profiles to determine the validity of orders. This role involves preparing documents by highlighting pertinent information and sending them for order entry. The technician takes about 15-30 calls per day and contacts all new admissions to LTC facilities. Additionally, they troubleshoot order issues by reviewing the order history and understanding the Automatic Dispensing Unit functionality. During order entry, the technician processes about 40-45 medication orders per hour.

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00
