Description We have an opening for a contract-to-hire opportunity for a Data/Order Entry Specialist in the Rolling Meadows, IL area. As an Order Entry Specialist, your primary role will be to handle customer orders efficiently and accurately, from the point of entry to the shipment notification. Responsibilities: • Handle the entire cycle of customer orders including order entry, order acknowledgement, and shipment notification • Book customer orders accurately and in a timely manner • Ensure the correct entry of purchase orders for direct fulfillment shipments • Leverage your skills in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suites to manage and organize data • Provide excellent customer service by resolving customer inquiries promptly • Consistently maintain accurate customer credit records • Monitor customer accounts and take the necessary actions when required Requirements • Possess proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suites for managing and organizing data effectively. • Demonstrable experience in a customer service role, with the ability to handle client queries and provide solutions promptly. • Proven experience in data entry, with high attention to detail and accuracy. • Familiarity with the Wholesale Distribution industry, understanding its operations and processes. • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with team members and clients. • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to maintain records and files systematically. • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating adaptability and flexibility. • High school diploma or equivalent; higher degree from a recognized institution would be a plus. • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and tools related to order management and data entry.
