Order Entry Specialist

The ideal candidate will assist in resolving customer concerns, participate in production planning meetings, and implement changes to improve order processes. This role requires strong organizational skills, the ability to multitask, and excellent communication abilities. Responsibilities + Process customer orders, validating for accuracy including pricing, conformance to minimum order requirements, shipping instructions, terms and conditions, and quality clauses. + Provide order acknowledgements, notify customers of changes, and coordinate with other business areas to expedite and track orders. + Ensure all relevant customer information is included in the sales order package, such as worksheet traveler, drawing, and in-process inspection documents. + Assist in resolving customer concerns, including product complaints, late orders, and expedited requests. + Participate in bi-weekly Production Planning Meetings by communicating customer order status and identifying issues or concerns related to customer satisfaction between departments such as Purchasing, Production, Shipping, and Quality. + Identify and implement changes to improve order processes and accuracy. + Monitor customer portals used to communicate RFQs and POs as required. + Ensure all customer service activities conform to the requirements of relevant standards and specifications. Essential Skills + Minimum 3 years of experience within a manufacturing environment. + Proficiency in ERP and MRP systems. + Fluent in English; bilingual in Spanish is a plus. + Accurate and attentive to details. + Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills. + Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively. + Strong organizational skills. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office products. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with order entry and shipping processes. Work Environment You will be working in a small manufacturing environment located in Torrance. The role involves interacting with various departments and requires adherence to relevant standards and specifications. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
