Order Fulfillment Clerk
Description A company in Montgomery/Willis is in need of a Order Fulfillment Clerk on a long-term temporary basis. This position is responsible for processing customer orders, ensuring accurate packing and shipping, and maintaining inventory organization. This role requires attention to detail, efficiency, and teamwork to meet shipping deadlines and ensure customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: • Receive, review, and process customer orders accurately. • Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment according to company standards. • Verify order accuracy and inspect products for quality before shipping. • Print shipping labels and coordinate with carriers for on-time deliveries. • Maintain organized inventory and restock supplies as needed. • Assist with inventory counts and stock management. • Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment. • Use warehouse management software and tools to track orders and shipments. • Collaborate with team members to meet fulfillment goals. Work Environment: • Fulfillment center setting. • May require standing, lifting, and repetitive movements. • Flexible schedule, including weekends or holidays, depending on business needs. Requirements • Candidate must possess strong knowledge of shipping procedures and protocols. • Proficiency in preparing and managing shipping documentation is required. • Experience with SAP software is essential for efficient order management. • Proficiency in QuickBooks for financial tracking and order processing is necessary. Qualifications & Skills: • High school diploma or equivalent. • Previous experience in order fulfillment, warehouse, or logistics is a plus. • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines. • Basic computer skills for order processing and inventory tracking. • Physical ability to lift and move packages (weight limits vary by employer). • Good communication and teamwork skills.
