Order Management Associate

Order management is responsible for handling customer orders from start to finish, ensuring that they are processed accurately and efficiently. This includes receiving and processing customer requests, verifying order details, managing backorders, communicating with customers regarding order status, and updating systems to reflect order changes. The goal of order management is to provide excellent customer service while minimizing errors and maximizing efficiency in the ordering process.


Responsibilities:


• Receive and process customer orders through various channels such as phone calls, emails, faxes, and online portals
• Verify order details including pricing, product availability, shipping information, and billing addresses
• Manage backorders by monitoring stock levels and communicating estimated delivery dates to customers
• Update systems with order information and communicate updates to customers
• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve any issues or discrepancies related to orders
• Provide exceptional customer service throughout the entire ordering process
• Maintain accurate records of all transactions related to customer orders
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations

About the Role:

As an Order Management Specialist, you will be responsible for managing customer orders across various industries. Your primary duties will include receiving and processing customer orders, communicating with internal and external stakeholders to resolve any issues or discrepancies related to orders, and providing updates on order status to customers. You should have strong communication skills and attention to detail to excel in this role. Additionally, having knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office Suite can be beneficial.


About You:


• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent experience
• Proven track record of success in an order management role
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
• Experience using SAP or similar ERP systems preferred but not required
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously without compromising quality or deadlines
• Detail-oriented approach to work with a focus on accuracy and precision
