**Job Title: Order Picker** **Job Description** Employees are responsible for filling the orders that come into the warehouse system. You will go to the printer that has the orders and take them one at a time. You will follow the order sheet and fill the orders accordingly while verifying quantities and part numbers match up with what is on the order sheet. You will be given a cart with wheels that you will push around to carry the orders until it is full. Once the order is filled, you will take it to the front of the warehouse and give it to the packers at the tables. The packers will verify your work and double-check to make sure everything is correct while you get the next order and keep picking. In this position, you will need to lift around 50 lbs at most, but most parts will be 30 lbs or less. The total weight on your cart may be up to 100 lbs, but you will be pushing that weight with wheels. Be comfortable going up stairs, and have the ability to walk around the warehouse for 8 hours a day. **Responsibilities** + Fill orders according to the order sheet. + Verify quantities and part numbers. + Push a cart with wheels to carry orders. + Deliver filled orders to the packing area. + Lift up to 50 lbs and push carts weighing up to 100 lbs. + Walk and move around the warehouse for 8 hours a day. **Essential Skills** + Good attitude. + Ability to walk, lift 35 lbs, and bend for 8 hours a day. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Any amount of order picking or warehouse experience is helpful but not required. + Experience with picking, packing, shipping, loading, receiving, warehouse inventory, and order picking is advantageous. **Why Work Here?** This is a great opportunity for candidates to gain experience in warehousing. We have a few success stories to share with candidates - most importantly, one of the team leads started as a contract employee and is one of the people who trains new hires on their first days. **Work Environment** The warehouse is very clean and heated for the winter. There is no A/C, but it never really gets too hot in there. It is quiet and a very safe place to work. The team is laid back, and the main requirements are around attendance and pick accuracy. If you do well in both of these, you will be given a lot of trust to work on your own. The radio plays over the speakers for employees to listen to while they work. There is a Manager, an Assistant Manager, and about 10 employees with whom you will work.
