Ordinance Equipment Mechanic

Volt is immediately hiring Ordinance Equipment Mechanic in Indianapolis, IN.

Duration: - 6 Month

\r\n\r\n

As Ordinance Equipment Mechanic you will:

\r\n\r\n\r\n\tPerforms the following duties, and other related activities as assigned. Must demonstrate competencies necessary to meet business requirements.\r\n\tMay perform as a member of a functional and/or cross- functional team.\r\n\tDuties include assembly, disassembly, re-assembly, fabrication, screen, repair, adjustment, test, and/or verification of complex electronic, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and structural systems in accordance with common military, commercial, and aerospace specifications.\r\n\tTypical systems include avionics, missiles, weapons controls, aircraft armament, bomb racks, launchers, and associated equipment. Electrical duties may include, but are not limited to, removal and installation of components, connectors, and wiring into cabinets, chassis, and console type assemblies.\r\n\tMechanical duties include, but are not limited to, removal, installation, and adjustment of mechanical parts to precise tolerances.\r\n\tStructural duties may include, but are not limited to, light machining, sheet-metal work, drilling, riveting, and airframe repairs.\r\n\r\n\r\n

EDUCATION REQUIRED:

\r\n\r\n\r\n\tHigh School degree or GED equivalent.\r\n\r\n\r\n

\r\n\r\n

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

\r\n\r\n\r\n\tMust be able to perform duties using pneumatic tools, electric tools, hand tools, and precision measuring equipment.\r\n\tMay perform informal, in-process checks on manufactured or processed items to assist authorized formal inspection and/or test personnel in determining product validation or assist other related job classifications when directed.\r\n\r\n\r\n

KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

\r\n\r\n\r\n\tMust be able to read, interpret and analyze engineering drawings, production planning and other technical documents, as well as possess extensive knowledge of the varied and complex electronic, electromechanical, and/or optical equipment/system(s) involved.\r\n\r\n\r\n

\r\n\r\n

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

\r\n\r\n\r\n\tRequires bending, reaching and lifting of objects within client EHS guidelines.\r\n\tSkill set and experience with performing mechanically inclined and disassembly work a high priority.\r\n\tMechanical aptitude is a must.\r\n\tAutomotive, aircraft, biomedical, or racing industry are all industry areas that align with the required experience.\r\n\tCandidates will be required to drill, bolt, cut metal, splice wires, and vehicle modification.\r\n\r\n\r\n

Pay Rate:$22 - $24.94 per hour

\r\n\r\n

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
