Summary THIS IS A NORTH DAKOTA NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This ND National Guard position is for a ORDNANCE EQUIPMENT MECHANIC, Position Description Number D2573000 and is part of the ND 119 Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, National Guard. Responsibilities As an Ordnance Equipment Mechanic, the purpose of this position is to provide munitions support to the state and designated agencies in support of their taskings. Manages allocations, stock levels, inventories, requisitions, and disposition of munitions. Assembles/Disassembles, adjusts configuration, performs maintenance/tests & repairs, handles and transports ammunition, decoys, countermeasures to include LUU series flares and dispensers, rocket, unguided and guided weapons and countermeasures, demolition material, and other types of conventional ordnance such as 40MM, Cluster Bomb Units (CBU), Guided Bomb Units (GBU), general purpose bombs, aircraft canon ammunition, missile systems, for loading on aircraft based on Unit Committed Munitions List (UCML) and Wings training requirements. Coordinates with various sections to ensure the effective flow of information, scheduling, and use of available resources. Complies with safety and security requirements. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications PCS STATEMENT: PERMANENT CHANGE OF STATION COSTS WILL NOT BE PAID FOR THIS POSITION. MAX MILITARY GRADES: TSgt COMPATIBILE MILITARY ASSIGNMENTS: 2W0XX AFSC is not a disqualifying factor for eligibility. However, Applicant must be able to obtain the required AFSC. QUALITY OF EXPERIENCE Length of time is not of itself qualifying. Candidates' experience should be evaluated on the basis of duties performed rather than strictly on the rank of the individual; however, established compatibility criteria/assignments must be followed. GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Applicant must possess experience or training which has provided the candidate with the knowledge and application of mechanical and electrical principles and the skill to perform intricate repair and adjustment of hydraulic and pneumatic components and devices. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicant must possess 18 months of specialized experience which includes: 1) Experience in repairing, rebuilding, modifying and testing a variety of major subassemblies; 2) Experience in diagnosing malfunctions and determining repair in major components consisting of numerous assemblies, interrelated electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic assemblies, and components; 3) Experience in the use of precision measurement equipment; and 4) Experience interpreting and applying a variety of technical manuals and similar published materials. You must also possess the experience, training or education to support your claim for the competency statements listed within the assessment questionnaire. Education To receive credit for education, you must provide supporting documentation of proof that you meet the education requirements for this position.
