Our client, one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in USA is looking for an Organic Chemist -II (Associate) at South San Francisco, CA. our client is seeking a candidate with experience in organic chemistry, organic synthesis, methodology/catalysis, total synthesis, or physical organic chemistry, along with a proven track record of solving problems.
**Job title:** Organic Chemist- II (Associate)
**Location:** South San Francisco, CA 94080
**Schedule/time:**
M-F (8AM -5PM)
**Qualifications:**
Education:
• **A PhD** in **Chemistry (0-1year)** or a **MS degree in chemistry with a minimum of 4 years** and or a **Bachelor's degree with 6 years** of experience in **organic synthesis including synthetic methodology, catalysis, and / or total synthesis along** with a proven track record of solving problems.
**Skills and Experience:**
• **Significant experience in synthesis** , **purification of organic compounds** by **chromatography or crystallization.**
• Experience in **high-throughput reaction design and execution** .
**• Total synthesis and/or synthetic methodology** .
• Effective communication and collaboration skills in a team environment
• Candidates must possess strong written and oral communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
**Preferred-Nice to have:**
• Experience in _Pharmaceutical drug discovery and development_ .
• ELN
• Software: CHEMDRAW, MS office suite.
**Responsibilities:**
The Process Research and Development department of our client’s Research Laboratories has a research chemist position available in our South San Francisco, CA research facility.
• It is a laboratory-based role to support reaction discovery and process development.
