Organizational Resilience Program Director

SWBC is seeking a talented enterprise business and technology leader to drive continuous improvement to support Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, and Crisis Management to bolster the resiliency of our business. The incumbent will lead a resiliency team and cross-functional teams to develop, maintain, validate, and test continuity, recovery, and emergency communications plans for multiple lines of business. This leader will implement enterprise-wide strategy to achieve industry-aligned business outcomes.  This role advises dozens of senior business stakeholders and technologists on how to develop risk-informed strategies to manage events, disasters, and other emergencies to include reporting risks and program findings to senior stakeholders. This role leverages a myriad of planning tools and communication channels demonstrating compliance and resiliency of business operations and supports technology for auditors, assessors, and clients to include collaborating with internal stakeholders, clients, partners, and industry experts to identify and apply best practices and lessons learned to improve our program.

Essential duties to include the following:

Develops, maintains, and manages a standards-based enterprise Organizational Resiliency (OR) program used to identify and implement strategies and solutions to ensure continued operations, asset protection, and loss mitigation in the event of a disruption, disaster, or other events.Continuous assessment of the OR program against industry standards and best practices, establishing recommendations and strategic plans for alignment.Collaborates with business and technology professionals to design and test comprehensive business, technical recovery, and vendor outage plans and strategies.Discovers, analyzes, and certifies the alignment of business recovery and restoration requirements with technology recovery capabilities to ensure plans are actionable and auditable.Plans and executes Business Impact Analysis (BIA) assessments with plan managers, conducts risk assessments, presents findings to stakeholder, and manages issues and risk treatment decisions.Derives insights, risks and recommendations from data collected within the program to identify risks and drive strategic recommendations and decisions.Verifies vendor technology resiliency meets or exceeds business requirements to meet internal requirements with a close relationship with stakeholders and contract and supplier management.Coordinates and facilitates Incident Command Team (ICT) meetings, recommends and coordinates ICT plan testing, and maintains resources to support the ICT.Coordinates training and communication and facilitates regular exercises of existing plans and strategies, updates procedures and plans regularly to ensure continued operations, asset protection, and loss mitigation in the event of a disruption to normal business operations.Maintains relationships with business unit leaders to establish goals and objectives for business continuity, disaster recovery, and crisis management programs and initiatives.Grow and mature team resources in Organizational Resiliency disciplines. Performs other duties as assigned. ​

Serious candidates possess the minimum qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Risk Management, IT Management, or related field.Master Business Continuity Professional (MBCP) certification.Minimum ten (10) years of demonstrated experience in business continuity and technology recovery planning and management, within a complex (multi company/division/product) enterprise environment.Minimum five (5) years of proven leadership and management experience of an enterprise program, which includes significant experience translating data into information and actionable insights that allow senior management to make timely decisions.Deep experience identifying and understanding organizational risks and vulnerabilities and ability to develop resiliency strategies and response, restoration, and recovery plans to lower risk.Flexible work style with strong agility and organizational skills to balance and manage multiple stakeholders, workstreams, and communication channels.Proven experience developing a Business Impact Analysis (BIA) to quantify and qualify potential impacts of events on an enterprise and its operations to prepare Recovery Time Objectives (RTO) and Recovery Point Objectives (RPO) that meet business needs and contractual obligations.Experience and crisis-tested judgement to develop, implement, and exercise plans to provide for a coordinated, timely, and effective response to life, safety, and other emergency situations that may affect the company’s employees, visitors, and assets and multiple national and international operating locations.Demonstrated knowledge to build and mature a business continuity management program and organizational framework based on an industry accepted capability maturity model.Exceptional judgement, business acumen, and technology awareness to recommend new or modifications to existing controls, mitigations, or management processes to lower risk and increase organizational resiliency against the most likely and highest impact events.Excellent written and oral communication, presentation, and organizational skills.Excellent interpersonal skills (credible, cooperative, and supportive) with the ability to build trust with internal and external stakeholders.Ability to develop and drive recovery and restoration strategies as well as write, communicate, facilitate, and present to all levels of leadership and other stakeholders.Demonstrated ability to lead risk and threat assessments to identify inherent and acquired vulnerabilities that may negatively affect the company, its resources, or reputation.Knowledge, skills, and ability to establish and maintain an enterprise-wide awareness program and serve as a subject matter expert for company’s training team.Problem analysis and resolution with the ability to analyze complex issues and translate them into clear and concise reports to facilitate senior management decisions.Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio.Ability to work within the SWBC corporate office or travel to the SWBC corporate office on a quarterly basis if a remote candidate is selected.Able to lift 10-20 lbs.
