Job Summary

\n

As an Orthopaedic Joint Commission Coordinator RN, you will build relationships with healthcare professionals for patient care. You will maintain our clinic's Total Range Center status through Joint Commission accreditation.

\n

What You'll Do

\n\nEnsuring that operations adhere to the standards set by the Joint Commission and local regulations.\nFacilitating the comprehensive care plan alongside the care team.\nCreating procedures and values in line with proven orthopaedic best practices.\nOverseeing the patient's journey from admittance to discharge, ensuring optimum patient care.\nWorking closely with orthopaedic, anaesthesia, and inpatient care teams.\nUndertaking initiatives to raise the quality of care.\nFacilitating educational sessions for doctors, nurses, in-hospital staff, and the wider community.\nConducting regular chart reviews, creating reports, and dispatching data to crucial departments.\nPreparing for and upholding Joint Commission Accreditation as a Comprehensive Care Centre.\nRegularly interacting with patients, nursing teams, doctors, and hospital management.\n\n

What Will Make You Successful In The Role

\n\nA comprehensive knowledge of patient care standards and nursing procedures.\nKnowledge needed for role includes understanding regulations, laws, and protocols from certifying bodies and hospitals.\nA knowledge of medical vocabulary, health promotion practices, disease prevention techniques, common dosages of medications and potential side effects.\nFamiliarity with ethical standards for nursing and respect for patient privacy rights.\nThe ability to express thoughts clearly in verbal and written form.\nThe capacity to publicly present information to educate staff and the community.\nExcellent social skills to foster relationships with a wide array of stakeholders.\nExceptional problem-solving skills paired with the ability to think critically.\nThe ability to monitor patients' medical conditions, identify changes, and communicate these effectively to colleagues and medical staff.\nProficiency in providing patient-centered care to people of all ages, adjusting the approach based on specific needs, while respecting diversity.\nProficiency in common computer programs like MS Office, scheduling, payroll systems, electronic health records, and email.\n\n

Qualifications

\n\nAt least an Associate's Degree.\nA minimum of 3 years of related experience.\nYou need to be a Registered Nurse, carrying a working registration or license.\n
