Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA, is hiring an Ortho/Neuro Navigator to join their team.

This position is full-time 40 hours per week Monday-Friday (no weekends)

Requirements:

-Bachelor Degree

-Registered nurse, Physical Therapy, Physical Therapy Assistant, Occupational Therapy, Occupational Therapy Assistant, Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license required.

-3 years Clinical experience

The Neuro Navigator will play a critical role in the comprehensive care of patients within the Neurosurgery Department of a Level One Trauma Center. This position will focus on the education, navigation, and support of patients undergoing elective and non-elective spine surgery, neuro-oncology surgeries, and, as the role expands, include spinal cord injury (SCI), endovascular procedures, and traumatic brain injury (TBI). The Neuro Navigator will be responsible for patient education, program development, process improvement, and interdisciplinary coordination, ensuring the highest standards of care and a seamless patient experience from diagnosis through recovery.
