Upstate Community Medical, PC at Upstate Community Hospital is recruiting an Advanced Practice Provider (PA/NP) to join our orthopedic inpatient service. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
+ Daily rounding and complete care and management of patients admitted to the orthopedic service.
+ Functions as a first assist in orthopedic OR procedures.
+ Assist in the pre-operative and post-operative management of orthopedic patients.
+ Develops and implements patient treatment care plans, records progress notes, and monitors therapeutic interventions in collaboration with orthopedic attending physicians.
+ Provide orthopedic consults to both the Upstate Community Hospital inpatient service and Emergency Department.
+ The successful applicant will be a member of an interdisciplinary team and will work collaboratively with our physicians in providing orthopedic inpatient care.
Minimum Qualifications:
+ This full-time position is ideal for a highly motivated PA or NP who wants to contribute to Upstate Community Hospital’s growing orthopedic service. This position is an operative position and is open to PAs and NPs with a current RNFA certification.
+ NYS license
+ ACLS & BLS required
+ Current CPR
+ NCCPA Certification or NP ANCC
+ Experience in orthopedic surgery preferred

The work schedule for this position is three (3) 12-hour shifts per week which includes weekend, night and holiday coverage.
