Orthopedic Technician - Ortho Surgery

Under the general supervision of the Back Office Lead/Medical Office Manager, the Orthopedic Technician will assist the orthopedic physician in providing casts and/or limb stability, wound care, general patient education, and general nursing care to the maximum extent allowed by their certification and/or licensure.

Required Qualifications: 

Coursework/Training - Completion of an accredited orthopedic technical training program. National Provider BLS - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire. 3 years - In an ambulatory/acute care or orthopedic setting working directly in the treatment of the orthopedic patient. 4 years preferred. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

Meditech and Touchworks (Allscripts) experience. NAOT certification upon hire.
