**Job Summary**
Provides customers with orthotic care under the clinical supervision certified clinical staff in order to restore physiological function and/or cosmesis. Employee will work and train under certified staff and complete schooling necessary for passing certification exams to become a Certified Orthotic Assistant and be able to independently manage a patient schedule.
Maintains a high standard in relation to patient safety. Knowledge of the value of self-motivation and initiative; ability and willingness to seek out work and the drive to accomplish goals. Identifies common patient safety risks within the organization and how they can be avoided. Establishes and maintains productive working relationships within and outside of own area. As needed, performs other related duties as requested.
**Qualifications**
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience in a health-related field is preferred. Working towards or willing to work towards completing the schooling necessary to become certified as an Orthotic Assistant through the Board of Certification/Accreditation, International (BOC) or the American Board of Certification (ABC).
Depending on department, must have current valid driver’s license, and must meet all medical guidelines for Sanford Health Category III drivers.
