OSP Fiber Design Engineer

Job Description
We are looking for a fiber engineer to support various fiber initiatives. These initiatives can vary, including Business as Usual (BAU) work/upgrades and project-based tasks such as delivering fiber to tower gateway base stations, substations, or integrating fiber into distribution substations for Advanced Distribution Management Systems (ADMS) technologies.
This fiber engineer will be aligned to a specific territory but can be cross-utilized to support the Utility Communications Group, which oversees all territories. The Sr. OSP Engineers will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day fiber support across their various projects. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
+ Performing site walks/surveys
+ Evaluating and updating current designs
+ Designing OSP fiber communications infrastructure
+ Coordinating with vendors (design vendors, OEMs, construction vendors, etc.)
+ Coordinating with internal cross-functional teams (power engineers, electrical distribution teams, project managers, etc.)
+ Managing documentation within various databases
+ Collecting and updating As-Builts

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $58.00/hr.
