This position is part of a team that supports and maintains the Operational Technology systems located at our gas plants and compressor stations. This position will have a level of responsibility for all Midstream facilities and will require travel between sites regularly. The position will have primary responsibility for all Operational Technology systems and network topology. Functioning as the primary point of contact for Operational Technology, this position will work closely with Facilities Operational personnel, Project Managers, OT NOC (OTRC), and Corporate IT staff to maintain the expected reliability of OT systems. Operations Specialists are aligned to the district they support, and we are currently in need of an OT Specialist to cover our West Texas and New Mexico region.
Key ResponsibilitiesConducts regular monitoring of infrastructure components and systems to identify performance issues or anomalies.Collaborates with senior engineers to implement performance tuning strategies and optimize system resources for better efficiency in a region.Documents support requests, resolutions, and troubleshooting steps. Provides technical support to users, troubleshoots and resolves complex hardware and software issues and escalates to senior engineers or vendor as needed in a region.Assists in testing disaster/system recovery and provides input to updates and engages with onsite personnel to understand new requirements.Contributes to the design and configuration of hardware and software systems, considering scalability, performance, and security aspects. Builds and deploys infrastructure components, ensuring proper configuration and integration.Actively participates in knowledge sharing activities, such as team meetings, presentations, or workshops. Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, related field or equivalent experience. Professional certification, e.g. Security+, Network+, OSCP, GIAC, CEH preferred.
3+ years of relevant experience required
