The opportunity
 
As part of our EY - Finance Consulting Team, you will help clients develop their Performance Improvement initiatives and identify potential opportunities for performance improvements drive them. This includes techno-functional role conducting finance processes assessments, deep diving and analysing pain areas and coming up with solutions. The client base spans across industries and countries.
 
Your key responsibilities
 
•    Lead and manage the OTC process, ensuring service delivery excellence and compliance with best practices.
•    Drive optimization of service management and enhance customer relationships while managing credit risk.
•    Utilize OTC tools and technologies to implement process enhancements and drive automation.
•    Mentor and develop junior staff, fostering a culture of growth and continuous improvement within the team.
•    Oversee the monitoring and management of outstanding AR balances, proactively addressing overdue accounts and implementing collection strategies.
•    Conduct in-depth analysis of customer payment trends to identify risks and develop proactive solutions.
•    Perform credit assessments on new customers and manage credit limits in accordance with established guidelines.
•    Escalate complex collection issues to relevant stakeholders for timely resolution.
•    Ensure the accurate and timely generation of invoices, maintaining data integrity and proper coding.
•    Review and reconcile cash receipts against outstanding invoices, efficiently resolving discrepancies and applying payments.
•    Manage unapplied cash and suspense accounts, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
•    Identify and implement improvements within the O2C process, focusing on automation and workflow efficiency.
•    Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to AR aging, collection efficiency, and customer payment trends.
•    Conduct root cause analysis of payment delays and implement corrective actions.
•    Collaborate closely with sales teams to address customer inquiries regarding invoices and payments.
•    Work in partnership with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.
•    Coordinate with customer service to resolve billing disputes and customer concerns.
 
Skills and attributes for success
 
•    Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field; Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., ACCA) preferred.
•    5-7 years of experience in OTC management with a strong service delivery background.
•    Proficiency in OTC tools and technologies such as Tableau, Power BI, and GenAI.
•    Excellent analytical, strategic, and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels..
