ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Position Summary:
The OTG Paid Summer Internship gives students an immersive, hands-on learning experience in Operations . Th is rotational program will afford Interns an experience at two of our NY/NJ area airports: LGA and EWR. The intern will spend five weeks at each airport. The Intern will be assigned to the FOH Management team, supporting the department by working on (but not limited to) special projects and initiatives. In addition, the Intern will be exposed to special projects on the Business Development team .
Responsibilities:
+ Enroll in OTG ’s Manager in Training program in order to learn and apply:
+ -values, standards, and policies
+ -coaching, onboarding, and day-to day management and support of crewmembers
+ -business , systems, processes, and communications
+ Shadow shifts to practice learned knowledge and skills
+ Supervise shifts independently and apply the knowledge and skills mastered
+ Ad-hoc s upport to Business Development team on RFPs as neede d – approx. 10-15% of their time
Qualifications and Requirements:
+ 0-3 years of relevant work experience
+ Enrolled in an Associate or Bachelor’s Program in an accredited College or University, pursuing a degree in Hospitality , Tourism or other related fields
+ Previous experience working in a fast-paced environment, ideally in retail or restaurant operations
+ Ability to gain p roficiency in Microsoft 365 applications
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills
+ Ability to multi-task
+ High levels of initiative, willingness to learn, and ability to take constructive feedback
+ Successful in both an independent and team-oriented work environment
+ Strong work ethic and integrity, with high energy and a positive attitude
