Frito-Lay Fleet Technicians are essential to our team because they work on our Fleet Heavy Duty tractor and Trailer assets and keep our drivers safe. You may already be familiar with what this position entails. You will help us maintain and repair our vehicles, diagnose mechanical issues, manage parts inventory, and charge parts and labor to work orders.

• You will use your extensive knowledge to assist mechanics with difficult repairs.

• You will build relationships with vendors when getting estimates for parts or labor.

• You will interact with a variety of Frito-Lay drivers, from professional truck drivers to salespeople.

• This is a physical job which often involves working in tight spaces under vehicles.

• You will be responsible for scheduling and prioritizing your work.

• Some demand work includes working with VCR’s and Failures.

• You will be expected to preform work on Brakes, U-joints and bearings along with work on steering and suspension checking emissions and dealing with drivability diagnosis.

• You will be expected to preform light engine repair on water pumps, injectors and Fuel pumps.

• Must possess necessary tools to perform assigned tasks.

• Performs preventative and routine maintenance on tractors, trailers, light duty trucks (which will include the use of diagnostic equipment)

• Experience using precision measurement instruments (micrometers, dial indicators, electronic multimeters/testers, A/C charging station, etc.)

• You have the ability to read pneumatic and electrical drawings.

• You will work on major and minor electrical with the ability to maintain and troubleshoot.

• You may be required to work on brakes systems, air systems, and body work including (panels, frames, doors, etc.)

The experience preferred for this position includes at-least three years previous experience working with Gas or Heavy Diesel engine repair.
