Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and skilled OTR Truck Driver to operate company-owned and leased tractors and trailers to facilitate shipping and receiving operations. The ideal candidate will adhere to all traffic laws and DOT safety rules while providing outstanding customer service during delivery and pickup operations. This role involves checking delivery schedules, performing inspections, and completing necessary paperwork.
ResponsibilitiesCheck delivery schedule and receive assignments from supervisor.Operate company-owned and leased tractors and trailers to facilitate shipping and receiving operations.Obey all traffic laws and DOT safety rules.Connect and disconnect semi-trailer and hoses properly.Back trailers into dock or unloading area as instructed by the customer.Unload product to dock or per customer’s instructions.Make customer deliveries safely and on time.Perform outstanding customer service during delivery and pickup operations.Perform required before, during, and after trip inspections and complete required paperwork.Report all deficiencies found to the Shipping Clerk.Complete daily logs, keeping them current and accurate.Turn in daily logs weekly.Call in daily to update traffic manager on current status.Essential SkillsValid CDL.2 years of experience.Complete DOT file on record per company policy.Pass a DOT physical prior to hire and repeat annually.Trained (licensed) in safe operation of tractors and trailers.Additional Skills & QualificationsFamiliar with and able to interpret packing slips and loading tallies.Familiar with and comply with all DOT and Motor Vehicle laws and regulations and company safety rules and regulations.Ability to travel with potential overnight stays away from home.Ability to follow directions as laid out on daily trip report.Familiar with proper loading techniques and procedures for the industry.Familiar with common material handling equipment (forklifts, badgers, hand carts).Why Work Here?

Work Environment
The position involves traveling mainly within the Midwest, North Carolina, and occasionally to Colorado and Florida. The work environment requires adherence to DOT and Motor Vehicle laws and regulations, and company safety rules. Drivers must be capable of operating material handling equipment and comfortable with overnight stays when required.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $95000.00 - $110000.00
