Job Summary:
Responsible for overall development of detailed schedules for forced, planned, and refueling outages while ensuring shutdown safety, ALARA practice, Technical Specifications, and plant procedure adherence. This position coordinates the efforts of the station across all organizational boundaries, working with all departments/contracting firms, and designated team leaders for pre-outage scoping, preparation, and execution. This position requires a self-starter that can make decisions, influence others outside their organization, lead teams, and demand results from others.
Job Requirements:
Minimum:
Minimum of 5 years overall nuclear power plant experience or equivalent industry experience
Knowledge and proficiency in work management software and processes
Implemented schedule activities in a plant outage environment
Intradepartmental communication skills (verbal and written)
Preferred:
Greater than 10 years overall nuclear power plant experience
Experience directing operations, maintenance, or project management activities in at least 3 refueling outages
Greater than 5 years of integrated scheduling experience
Proficiency with eSOMS/Maximo/OneNote/PowerBI
Proficiency with Primavera
Technical BS Degree
Current or previous RO/SRO license or certification
Working knowledge of the shutdown safety program
Working knowledge of the preventative maintenance program
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
Major Job Responsibilities:
Support or manage key milestones: schedule development, materials, purchase orders, resource needs, schedule reviews, assist work package preparation, and final financial projections.
Interface with the Equipment Reliability group during the scoping effort to identify the correct tasks (surveillances and PMs) and their frequency for refueling schedule; align the site around the work scope. Support/develop the strategic cycle plan for the subsequent refueling outages considering major maintenance, engineering programs, engineering systems, and design scope.
Support site projects during development, planning and scheduling of future projects
Outage Control Center support for emergent and planned activities
Develop or facilitate the various Outage Management process meetings.
Manage workload, lead site teams in all aspects of outage readiness, influence decisions, demand results from others, and integrate with site personnel without significant direction.
Solicits best practices internally and externally to improve organizational effectiveness. Build performance around SNC fleet outage lessons learned and industry working groups such as PWROG, EPRI, and INPO.
Forced Outage preparation, execution, and communications to fleet and site
Emergency Response Organization member and On-Call Forced Outage Scheduler
May be required to work rotating shiftwork to support plant needs
Supports the Startup Schedule/Outage Manager with business plan initiatives.
Other Requirements
The successful candidate must meet background screening and NRC Fitness for Duty requirements.
