Outbound Support Assistant
Adecco is assisting a local client in seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Logistics Administrator to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a background in warehouse operations, transportation, and logistics, with a strong focus on carrier management and problem-solving. This role requires proficiency in Excel, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. This position will be Monday-Friday 9am-5pm. The pay is $25 per hour. The role will start as temporary but there is the possibility of hire based on performance and company availability. This is an onsite position- you will not be working remotely. You must report to the facility in Clarks Summit every day. You will also need steel toed footwear, as you will be interacting with the warehouse floor. Primary duties for this position will be data entry, generating invoices, system data management, generating PO numbers, printing Bill of Ladings, and ensuring accuracy and system clean up. **Key Responsibilities:** 1. Carrier Management: Coordinate with carriers to ensure timely delivery of goods, resolve any issues that arise during transportation, and track trucks to monitor delivery status. 2. Problem Solving: Proactively identify and resolve logistical issues, such as delays, damages, or shortages, to minimize disruptions in supply chain operations. 3. Vendor Delivery Management: Manage vendor deliveries, including scheduling, tracking, and confirming receipt of goods, to maintain efficient inventory management. 4. System Operations: Utilize various systems and software to manage logistics operations effectively. This includes entering data into Excel spreadsheets, generating purchase order (PO) numbers, and printing bill of ladings. 5. Data Entry: Perform accurate and timely data entry tasks to maintain up-to-date records of shipments, inventory levels, and transportation activities. 6. Documentation: Prepare and maintain documentation related to shipments, including invoices, shipping manifests, and delivery receipts, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory requirements. 7. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements in logistics operations and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity. 8. Communication: Collaborate with internal teams, external vendors, and carriers to coordinate logistics activities, communicate shipment details, and address any issues or concerns. **Qualifications:** - Previous experience in warehouse, transportation, or logistics operations is required. - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential, with the ability to perform data analysis, create reports, and manage large datasets. - Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically in high-pressure situations. - Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively. - Experience working with various logistics software and systems is preferred. - Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders. - Adaptability and willingness to learn new systems and processes quickly. - High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in logistics or supply chain management are a plus. **Pay Details:** $25.00 per week Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
