For the Summer Internship Program, this department is seeking a student intern that can assist with general cleaning of therapy equipment, organizing areas, observing therapies, being a "peer" for therapy patients. This internship will require one major project throughout the summer, which is creating a resource binder for therapeutic toys. Due to this, we are looking for an intern that enjoys children, who is optimistic, and passionate about the summer they can bring to this department.
Traditionally, Summer Interns work between 24-40 hours per week throughout the 10-week internship. This internship holds clinic hours that are Monday through Thursday from 7: 00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Then Fridays from 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Specific programs that best fit this internship include students going to school to study speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, audiology and other areas in the medical field interest.
Must be a current undergraduate college student or graduate college student. Specific educational focus or degree may be preferred depending on the hosting department of the internship. Specific license and/or certification may be preferred depending on the hosting department of the internship. GPA of 3.0 or above Submission of Cover Letter Resume and Letter of Recommendation. Other qualifications may vary by department of internship.
