Overview Directly supervised by the Office of Veteran Affairs Program, staff members will provide written and verbal education and referral information to the Veterans. The goal of this program is to assist the Veteran with all resources to reduce the percentage of Veteran suicide. Qualifications EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one (1) year of specialized training or education. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT No additional experience required. COMPUTER SKILLS An individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Must possess a valid driver's license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets the requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating. OTHER QUALIFICATIONS The employee must not be and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG's Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA's List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG's List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE). PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds. WORK ENVIRONMENT While performing the duties of this job, the employee may occasionally be exposed to outdoor weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
