ICF is seeking a field-based Account Manager to take a significant role in the implementation of commercial energy efficiency programs in Baltimore, Maryland. The selected candidate will be responsible for recruiting participants from Low-to-Moderate-Income (LMI) and/or Environmental Justice (EJ) communities into our utility incentive programs. The candidate will develop and implement engagement strategies with the goal of increasing the number of energy efficiency projects and participants within identified communities. This position is open to Maryland-based candidates as well as those willing to relocate.

What you will be doing:
Developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with businesses in Low-to-Moderate-Income (LMI) and/or Environmental Justice (EJ) communities to support their participation in BGE’s energy efficiency programs Cultivating new relationships and partnerships with trade allies and professional organizations who support the LMI/EJ communities to promote program awareness and adoption Identifying barriers to participation and developing successful, community-relevant resolutions Preparing and presenting targeted presentations promoting program awareness, coupled with participation at trade shows, trade organization and stakeholder events, as well as any industry recognized associations Collaborating with LMI/EJ communities on the preparation and delivery of energy-related community events that promote energy education, program awareness, and community buy-in Maintaining strong ongoing communications with participants and other interested stakeholders to assess their needs and receive feedback on their experience with the program Assisting program managers with the development and implementation of promotional strategies Preparing client-facing ongoing status reports to document performance and activities demonstrating progress towards program goals, contractor/consultant participation and pipeline management Supporting internal operations and management of the programs, with tasks such as reporting, application review, forecasting, marketing development, and client support Must have a reliable vehicle for local travel. Requirements are between 25% to 75% of the time. (reimbursement for mileage provided)
What we need you to have (minimum qualifications):
Bachelor’s degree in (Business Admin, Energy, Communication or related field) (candidates can substitute one year of experience for each year of education)1+ years of experience in community engagement, with a preferred focus on working with individuals and groups from underserved or under-resourced communitiesMust have valid driver’s license, an operational vehicle for transportation (or regular access to a vehicle), and successfully pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check
What we would like you to have:
1+ years of experience managing or selling energy efficiency opportunities, with specific experience in one of the following: HVAC contractors, distributors, commercial real estate, federal government or retail customers.Utility experience Bilingual Capacity to build and sustain community partnerships Strong organizational and project management skills to coordinate and implement community events and initiatives Strong commitment to social and environmental justice Excellent verbal and written communication skills High degree of self-confidence, determination, and motivated to excel Ability to adapt, prioritize multiple time-sensitive needs, and multi-task, and work under strict deadlines Sound business ethics, including the protection of proprietary and confidential information Ability to work with all levels and diversity of internal employees, as well as with outside clients and vendors Superior interpersonal skills including courtesy, cultural sensitivity, and a collaborative attitude Understanding of principles related to coalition-building, community development, and/or community-focused program development Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Dynamics, Word, Outlook, Excel) An energy efficiency background with a solid knowledge of building mechanical systems and/or commercial lighting Economic analysis and familiarity with DSM program planning and evaluationWorking at ICF

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.
The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:
