Purpose

To drive outreach efforts for the College of Fine Arts Admissions team through the cultivation of partnerships with schools and community-based organizations. To support the admissions team with university-wide events and other Fine Arts admissions efforts.

Responsibilities

School and CBO relationship management. Cultivate and maintain strategic partnerships with schools and community-based organizations (CBOs) to assist in identifying and engaging with talented prospective students. Research potential partner organizations, maintain detailed database, and monitor partner organization activities online and in social media to identify opportunities for collaboration, outreach or recruitment. Implement communications plan to inform partners of updates and timely reminders pertaining to undergraduate admission, degree offerings, and opportunities for engagement. Design presentations tailored to school and CBO groups.

Student outreach and recruitment. Visit Texas high schools and attend regional school and CBO events, with an emphasis on Central Texas, to cultivate relationships and generate student inquiries. Utilize client-relationship-management (CRM) database to plan and manage engagement with prospective undergraduate students throughout the college search and enrollment process. Travel required.

Coordinate College of Fine Arts group visit program. Manage requests from high school-aged groups to visit the College of Fine Arts. Develop and coordinate relevant activities, e.g., info sessions, student panels, and facility tours. Facilitate registration and related communications. Reserve parking and space as needed. Coordinate with internal partners who are contributing to group activities.

College of Fine Arts Teamwork: Facilitate or assist with college and university-wide events hosted by the College of Fine Arts and Office of Admissions, on campus, online and in regional locations. Contribute to the development of the strategic recruitment plan and assess effectiveness of activities in shaping outcomes. Contribute as a member of the College of Fine Arts Admissions Team, collaborating with and supporting colleagues and student ambassadors. Ensure that all processes follow procedures established by the department, college and related campus units.

Internal collaboration and coordination. Identify and coordinate opportunities for admissions staff to recruit high school or transfer students who participate in COFA youth programs and initiatives. Collaborate regularly with internal partners to increase the impact of our collective engagement with school and community base organizations.

Required Qualifications

Bachelors degree and at least 3 years’ experience.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office: Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams.

Demonstrated experience and ability to facilitate engaging presentations.

Background in arts or design.

Experience teaching/mentoring/counseling high school-aged students.

Driving Required

This job requires a class "C" operator's driver's license. The applicant selected must provided a current three year driving record from the current state of residence. If not currently a Texas resident, a Texas driver's license must be obtained within 30 days of becoming a Texas resident. Employees who are required to have a CDL are subject to drug and alcohol testing (pre-employment, post-accident, reasonable suspicion, random, return-to-duty, and follow-up drug and alcohol testing).

Salary Range

$50,000 - $54,000

Work Shift

Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm, with occasional nights and weekends for recruitment and outreach events.
