Full-Time Outreach Coordinator

Responsibilities :
+ Work closely with Program Manager to effectively implement the Consumer Assistance for the Aged, Blind and Disabled Program
+ Establish contacts with community groups to reach uninsured and underinsured population
+ Connect with organizations that service the Aged, Blind & Disabled population to raise community awareness of the Program and of Medicaid enrollment services
+ Plan, schedule, and conduct outreach (i.e. street outreach, community events, and presentations senior centers) and train Enrollers on outreach and recruitment strategies
+ Attend and participate in staff meetings, trainings and conferences
+ Coordinate open-house to educate prospective applicants on their health insurance options
+ Enroll clients into Medicaid programs with Medicare eligibility assessments
+ Track referrals and collaborations within and outside of the Health Center
+ Provide monthly report to the Manager on outreach statistics
+ Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications :
+ Bachelor’s degree in public health, social work, marketing or related fields
+ Three years of health insurance enrollment & outreach work experience preferred
+ Must be bilingual in Chinese, Korean, Spanish and/or Bengali
+ Solid presentation skills and demonstrated ability to speak in public and in front of large groups
+ Ability to develop business contacts and collaborative professional relationships
+ High computer proficiency, with experience in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point
+ Ability to manage conflicting priorities
+ Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
+ Strong attention to detail
Compensation and Benefits :
+ Salary: $45,000 per year
