This is a Seasonal Position for our 2025 Race Season May through September
Do you have a passion for horses and a keen eye for safety? We’re looking for a dedicated Outrider to ensure smooth operations on the racetrack. As the Outrider, you’ll be responsible for managing both horses and drivers, ensuring the safety of all participants while maintaining a high level of control and focus during races.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
+ Responsible for the safety of drivers and horses on the racetrack.
+ Responsible for communicating between drivers and judges.
+ Prepared in case of an accident during the course of, before, or after a race.
+ All other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma or GED required. Experience riding horses along with harness racing knowledge.
SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have experience as an outrider.

While performing the duties of this job, the Associate is regularly required to talk or hear. The Associate is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, and to sit, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Must be able to ride a horse for approximately 4 hours and engage loose horses, fallen horses during the course of any race.
