Outside Sales | Competitive Wages - Depending on Experience

Monday - Friday, Day Shift

An established manufacturing company located in the Humboldt, IA area is hiring an experienced professional to join their Sales team! The Outside Sales position will work closely with management, sales, engineering, accounts receivable and production staff while being responsible for managing sales rep agencies in specific territories. This position will also develop and execute a formal sales plan that identifies key existing customers and targets new customers. Responsibilities:

Increase sales to existing accounts Coordinate orders and quotations with inside sales staff Make professional presentations to customers Acquire new sales representative agencies as needed Aggressively and continually search for new customers while maintaining good relationships with current customers Assist existing customers in adopting company products to their own requirements and specifications Effectively demonstrate the benefits and features of the company’s products in a competitive environment Plan and coordinate sales trips including making cost effective travel arrangements and preparing an itinerary using leads, quotations, and current customers Keep logs of quotations, leads, etc. Perform sales and product evaluations on lost orders Read and understand blueprints for products that are being sold Assist in determining pricing margins & new markets Provide value added services to customers

Requirements:

High school diploma is required. Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, engineering, or similiar field preferred. Maintain a valid drivers license  5 years of experience in a similar role Demonstrate effective communication skills, both written and oral, and excellent interpersonal skills Prior knowledge of material handling industry and technically savvy Thorough understanding of principles of sales and good knowledge of customer service with proven sales performance Ability to work effectively with others, solve problems, think creatively and implement solutions in a positive manner Ability to use Excel, Microsoft Word & Powerpoint Auto CAD experience is recommended but not required Overnight travel is required - up to 20% over the course of the year
