Outside Sales Representative
Job Title: Account Development Executive - VA Location: Harrisonburg, Waynesboro or Charlottesville, VA Job Description We are seeking Account Development Executives to help launch a new partnership program with local businesses within rural communities. The Account Development Executive will work with businesses to identify partnerships that will help expand small businesses and increase their income. Responsibilities + Travel within an assigned territory (KY, WV, VA) 4+ days per week. + Visit prospective businesses door to door in targeted towns (up to 2 hours driving distance). + Present and pitch the new program opportunity to prospective businesses and generate interest to apply. + Qualify the prospective businesses and guide them through the application and vetting process. + Track lead activity and manage pipeline in Salesforce. + Support Field Manager to plan and host recruitment events in the community (e.g., lunch and learns, townhall meetings, coffee chats). + Partner with the Field Manager to work with local influencers such as chambers of commerce and economic development associations. + Import Excel spreadsheets into Salesforce on a weekly basis. + Maintain and assign leads to the sales team, including prospecting for new leads. + Manage the flow of incoming leads. + Create and maintain sales reports. + Analyze lead data (conversion rates, cost of leads, etc.). + Work as a liaison with other groups in the company to help improve sales processes. Essential Skills + 1-2 years of prior sales and/or customer service experience. + Exceptional customer service and communication skills. + Professionalism, enthusiasm to work with others, and a high sense of urgency. + Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. + Tech-savvy with intermediate/advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel. + Experience working with Salesforce.com or other Sales Force Automation (SFA) tools. + Ability to multitask and prioritize diverse responsibilities. + Ability to be in-market up to 8 hours daily. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Prior experience in a role involving sales and/or negotiation with customers is a plus. + Experience in Salesforce. + Customer satisfaction focus. + Online research experience. + Spanish, Mandarin, or a second language is a plus. Work Environment The position requires traveling within the assigned territory 4+ days per week and working remotely when not traveling. Reliable transportation is needed. Employees will receive a $75 bonus for every partnership application submitted and another $100 for reaching the Ready to Launch stage, plus a $175 bonus for every partner launch + 2 weeks. Employees will also receive a $50 monthly phone bill reimbursement and mileage reimbursement at 65.5 cents per mile. The role supports the WCH2 station in Waynesboro, VA, with Waynesboro/Harrisonburg being the best starting points. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
