Job Description

 

Wheatland Tube, a division of Zekelman Industries, seeks a seasoned onsite Outside Sales Representative to solicit Wheatland Electrical products from distributors, develop customer relationship, provide field product training, and drive end market product specifications located in Denver metropolitan area of Colorado.  If you are looking to grow your career in this industry, this is an excellent opportunity!

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Evaluates territory performance against established objectives/guidelines (sales forecast, budget, number of new accounts, gross margins, etc.) and take appropriate action to improve performanceProvides accurate forecast of sales by customer and product.Creating demand for existing and new products by calling on Electrical Distributors, Contractors as well as Engineers.Recommends to the Company areas of future growth potential such as new products and new markets.Work closely with inside sales to achieve territory sales goalsProvides timely reporting of activities in the field and special reporting to assist in growing the businessEntertains and develops relationships with customers on an ongoing basisResponsible for special projects as assignedOpportunity for expanded territory as we evaluate the current coverageLead and promote health and safety work practices as required by regulatory agencies and company policyNothing in this job description restricts management’s right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.Regular, full-time, predictable onsite attendance per the posted schedule is an essential function of this role

REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

Overnight travel 5 years of outside sales experience preferredBachelor’s degree in Business Administration or the equivalent experienceStrong knowledge and experience in the Electrical products industryArticulate, energetic, personable and a team PlayerMust have excellent sales and communication skills – both verbal and writtenGood analytical skills
