Velocity Pump Rental, a growing company serving the contractor, municipal and industrial markets providing dewatering systems is looking for anOutside Sales Representativein St. Louis, MO area. We have been in the rental market for over 50 years and have strong, long-standing relationships with customers who know us for our powerful combination of leading product brands and applications expertise with a strong focus on developing comprehensive, sustainable solutions. Essential Responsibilities
+ Generate profitable sales revenue by renting pumps and providing engineered pumping solutions for either short-term or long-term projects for the purpose of moving fluid
+ Establishes new rental accounts through phone calls and in-person visits to potential customers
+ Builds, develops, and grows client and vendor business relationships vital to the success of the rental business
+ Present turnkey services to potential customers
+ Ensures project plans and updates are well communicated to clients and internal staff
+ Maintains knowledge of all rental products, pricing, terms, sales, and policies
Education / Experience
+ Associate’s, Vocational, or Bachelor's degree in Mechanics, Industrial Engineering, or Construction Management preferred
+ Three years minimum experience with B2B direct sales within the equipment industry preferred
+ Previous experience in the rental industry is a plus
+ Pump equipment background is highly desirable
+ Strong business development and customer retention skills

+ Strong working knowledge in rentals, customer service and sales techniques
+ Proficiency in MS Office and Google Suite
+ Strong interpersonal and customer service skills required
+ Strong written and oral communication skills required
+ Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
+ Ability to effectively multitask, prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
+ Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities
+ Ability to elicit cooperation and defuse tension, if necessary
+ Ability to lift up to 100 pounds
