Outside Service Sales Representative

The Outside Service Sales Representative will primarily focus on new customer growth through selling mechanical service agreements and products to commercial and industrial clients. This is a unique opportunity due to the extraordinary current customer base while also experiencing customer growth and expansion in Southern Utah. Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated outside sales representative to join our team in the mechanical contracting industry. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in driving business growth by developing strong relationships with clients and promoting our HVAC, plumbing, controls, and mechanical systems contracting services. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, generating leads, and managing customer relationships to meet and exceed sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:

Identify and target potential clients in the commercial and industrial sectors. Conduct market research to understand customer needs and industry trends. Develop and maintain a robust pipeline through cold calls, networking, and site visits. Communicate with vendors as needed to gather costs for services needed to complete maintenance being quoted Demonstrate a personal commitment to personal growth and development of the trade and skills of a Sales Professional, including attendance at product and sales training events, participation at all professional training provided by EMCOR/ CCI Mechanical, etc. Prepare reports on the status of accounts/projects (profitability, deadlines, etc.)

Customer Relationship Management:

Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with new and existing clients. Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, providing excellent customer service. Understand client needs and provide tailored solutions using the mechanical contracting services.

Sales Strategy & Execution:

Present and promote company services to clients through meetings, presentations, and proposals. Prepare and submit accurate quotations, bids, and project proposals. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms of service to close deals.

Collaboration & Reporting:

Provide regular reports on sales activity, forecasts, and key account developments through CRM, XOI, and weekly meetings with management. Participate in industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to promote the company’s brand and service.

CCI Mechanical is a full-service HVAC and Plumbing design/build contractor.  With over 300 employees performing the design, fabrication, installation, and service of HVAC, plumbing, process piping and building automation systems we are the leader in our markets.

Qualifications:

Self-starter, ability to work independently and manage time efficiently in a field-based role. Proven experience in outside sales, preferably in mechanical contracting or a related industry (HVAC, plumbing, controls). Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to understand mechanical concepts. Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel frequently within the designated territory.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or proven track record of sales experience. Experience working with contractors, facility managers, and building owners. Familiar with CRM software and sales tracking tools.
