Oval Skate Guard

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Conducts routine property walksInteract with the public and all levels of management and fellow employeesLay out the rubber matting and benches to prepare the rink area for the publicClear ice rink of snow/sleet as well as surrounding walkways and bench areasSkate Guards will be responsible for the safety of the skaters while on the OvalSkate Guards will be responsible for checking tickets at the gate and reminding patrons to return rented skates

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities

QUALIFICATIONS

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORKING CONDITIONS:

This position will require a large amount of walking, climbing, stooping and possible heavy lifting. This position requires the ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs, as well as work in both indoor and outdoor settings.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

High School Degree and/or GEDOne year of customer service experience desiredFirst Aid response training and/or experience desired

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Ability to ice skateAbility to work flexible hours on weekdays, weekends, school vacations and holidaysProfessional presentation, appearance and work ethicMust be able to work outside in all weather conditionsMust be at least 18 years old
