Atlanta, GA (Customer Site)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, proactive and delivery driven individual to join our Overhaul Support Team. The Overhaul Business Engineer is a support position within the Service Delivery organization. It is a key resource for the Overhaul Base Manager (OBM) and will interface with the MRO service provider as an embedded resource. The ideal candidate must be able to coordinate many different kinds of operational activities in a diverse technical environment. In this role, you will have the opportunity to travel up to 10% to locations within the US. As part of this role, you must be able to work occasional evening shifts and overtime as needed.

Key Accountabilities:  

Support the business relationship through a professional on-site presence and participation in key meetings as requiredSupport the daily activities of the Overhaul Business Manager (OBM) and global Service Delivery team as requiredSupport the Project Desk to ensure the status of all assigned engines is known and clearly articulated at all timesParticipate in Technical Review Committee (TRC) calls to support work scope developmentAssist the global Services Delivery team with Life Cycle Cost reduction activitiesParticipate in hardware dispositioning, engine system troubleshooting, and failure investigations in support of the MRO service provider

Basic Requirements:

Associate degree with 4+ years of aviation experience, ORBachelor's degree with 2+ years of aviation experience, ORMaster’s degree, ORJD/PhD, OR6+ years of aviation experience in lieu of a degree

Preferred Requirements:

Aviation maintenance background with knowledge and understanding of gas turbine maintenance and repair processes and proceduresFamiliarity with air worthiness regulationsAbility to prioritize, work independently or in a team environment with a strong customer focusAbility to develop and maintain relationships with shop personnelAbility to understand and communicate technical details and solve complex technical issues
