**Job Title: Overhead Crane**
**Job Description**
Candidates will be responsible for assisting the edger operator with machine operations. Duties include ensuring materials and parts are clean from scraps, visually inspecting materials off the machine, and packaging materials according to general packing instructions. Some customers require custom packaging, so following written directions is essential. Candidates will also need to apply side bands securely to coils, a task for which training will be provided. Additionally, they must create coil identification tags by entering information into a computer and printing labels to place on the bands. The role involves 5-6 hours of packaging and the remaining time will be spent keeping the work area clean by sweeping.
**Responsibilities**
+ Assist the edger operator with machine operations.
+ Ensure materials and parts are free from scraps and debris.
+ Visually inspect materials off the machine.
+ Package materials according to general packing instructions.
+ Follow written directions for custom packaging as needed.
+ Apply side bands securely to coils.
+ Create coil identification tags by entering information into a computer and printing labels.
+ Maintain a clean work area by sweeping.
**Essential Skills**
+ 1+ year of slitter operator experience.
+ Experience with shear, slitter, mill, and blueprint reading.
+ Machine operating and fabrication skills.
+ Proficiency with micrometers and gauges.
+ Experience in metals manufacturing.

**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
