**Job Title: Material Handler**
**Job Description**
The person in this position will unload semis, stage product, or handle product after it has been cut to length. They will eventually learn plasma cutting and cut-to-length machine operating after they are comfortable. Our client is a supplier of sheet metal products to customers. They cut the metal to length and ship it or cut it and re-roll it and ship it to their customers. The individuals in this position will support the operators with material and handle the material after it has been cut to length. In addition, they will eventually learn how to run various parts of equipment such as the cut-to-length line and the plasma cutters to process orders for customers.
**Responsibilities**
+ Unload semis and stage product.
+ Handle product after it has been cut to length.
+ Support operators with material handling.
+ Learn and operate various equipment including cut-to-length machines and plasma cutters.
**Essential Skills**
+ 1 year of manufacturing experience.
+ Willingness to learn.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience in picking, packing, general production, warehouse, material handling, overhead crane operation, production, loading, unloading, order picking, and general labor.
+ Crane experience is a huge plus.

**Work Environment**
The work environment is industrial, within a very large warehouse that was originally built to be big enough to build warships. Though old school, the people in this position are out of the elements, but the building can be hot in the summer and cold in the winter due to constantly opening and closing doors. The benefits offered by the organization far outweigh the temperature issues. The shifts available are: 1st Shift - 6am to 2:30pm, and 2nd Shift - 2:20pm to 12am Monday through Thursday. Off shifts will train on 1st shift for up to one month. The first day is dedicated to safety training and paperwork. Employees must have steel toe boots with non-detachable metatarsal covers. There are two 15-minute breaks and one 30-minute unpaid lunch break.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Roseville, Minnesota.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $20.87 - $27.05/hr.
