Work days and Hours\: Monday - Friday/10pm - 6am

Job Summary\:

Reporting to the Facilities Assistant Superintendent, the Overnight Sr. Facilities Specialist is responsible for the management of Service Staff IV (housekeeping staff), equipment, materials, and resources within the assigned Temple University facilities buildings. The supervisor will assign Service Staff IV employees in their daily work assignments and will be responsible for the buildings assigned at the Night Shift Superintendent’s discretion. The position will also require the individual functioning in this supervisory role to not only oversee the general cleaning of his/her assigned buildings, but to also oversee the floor maintenance, scrubbing, stripping, and waxing tasks as well. Administrative responsibilities include preparation and submission of any housekeeping related written documentation in a timely manner. The duties and responsibilities of the position will require the Overnight Housekeeping Supervisor to periodically work outdoors in inclement weather. Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience\:

*A minimum of two (2) years directly related experience and/or training (IE\: Housekeeping Supervisory experience).

*Knowledge of cleaning and floor care equipment and procedures.

*An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

Required Skills and Abilities\:

*Ability to work outdoors during snow events.

*Ability and comfort interacting with and supervising a sizable number of employees and can make difficult decisions when necessary.

*Ability to assess and resolve housekeeping related issues while adhering to university/departmental policy and procedures.
