The resort was named the “Jewel of the Desert” since its opening on February 23, 1929. This gorgeous 39-acre property reopened in May 2021 after undergoing a $150 million restoration and has over 700 rooms, over 200,000 square feet in banquet space, and 8 food and beverage outlets (including 2 restaurants, 2 bars, 2 poolside bars, a gelato shop/café, and in-room dining). Hotel Website, Instagram, Facebook Overview As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and tranquil stay of hotel guests and employees, to assist as needed, to enforce the policies and procedures of the hotel and to record in writing any assigned task. Specifically, this includes, but not limited to, the following duties: Patrol the resort grounds to ensure the quality and safety of hotel guests and associates. Investigate and report all guest and associate complaints, losses, crimes and accidents & incidents in a timely and accurate manner. When assigned to dispatch, log in and out keys and radios to associates, maintain an accurate log of department activity, and monitor foot traffic including visitor and package pass procedures. Conduct routine lock ups and unlocks of the hotel facilities. Assist in the dispatch role as assigned. Conduct daily and monthly written safety inspections. Monitor traffic control as needed. Respond to emergencies in an informed and professional manner. Demonstrate commitment to making a conscientious effort to eliminate or reduce the risk of injury to our guests and associates, damage to our property or the property of others. Know the correct action to take in the event of an emergency and demonstrate this knowledge by acting appropriately in the event of an emergency. This is a full-time position and you must have availability to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays. The shift for this role is 3rd / overnight shift from 10:30pm-7am. Qualifications Prior customer service experience, required Hotel experience, preferred Prior experience in security, preferred CPR / First Aid Certified Excellent customer service and communication skills Team player Ability to complete incident reports Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
