VCA Shoreline Veterinary Referral and Emergency Center is hiring a full time overnight Technician Assistant to join our team! We are seeking an individual who is positive, energetic, eager to learn, and works well on a team.

Technician Assistant duties include:

Restraining animals for doctor and technicianAdministering medications under the supervision of the technicianAssisting with obtaining lab samplesRunning labs on our in-house machines (including learning how to troubleshoot machines)Cleaning kennels and replacing bedding for hospitalized patientsOffering food and water to hospitalized patients under the supervision of the technicianWalking hospitalized patients under the supervision of the technicianAssisting with sedated or anesthetized procedures as needed (set up and break down, cleaning, moving patients in and out of O/R, etc.)General cleaning duties inside and outside the hospital, including laundry, sweeping/mopping, restocking medical supplies, maintaining medical equipmentOther duties as assigned

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and be able to effectively communicate with others in a fast-paced environment.
