Overseas Construction Site Supervisor - Zambia Summary Title:Overseas Construction Site Supervisor - Zambia Job ID:250012-B Locations:Kabwe, Zambia Description VISTA Technology Services, Inc. (VISTA) is currently seeking a Construction Site Supervisor to support a Green Energy Infrastructure construction project located in Kabwe, Zambia. This position is contingent on contract award. The Site Supervisor is required to be on the ground, onsite daily during working hours, to manage the day-to-day activities and coordinate all construction and/or engineering personnel. The Site Supervisor will ensure productivity and safety of all construction, engineering, or visiting personnel on the construction site. Responsibilities: + Site supervisor is responsible for the daily management of the construction site including personnel management, security, safety and occupational health, quality control, and project schedule + Communicate directly with Copnstruction Project Manager to ensure SOW is met and task order is successfully completed + Ensure compliance with Construction Accident Prevention Plan (CAPP), Quality Control Plan (QCP), Safety Plan, Risk Mitigation Plan, Inspection & Testing Plan + Meet with and build strong working relationships with Construction Project Manager and construction team to ensure and evaluate quality of workmanship, safety, environmental concerns and identify and mitigate risks + Observe daily construction activities to provide accurate project updates and reports Basic Qualifications: + Bachelor's degree in civil engineering + Three (3) years of construction site management experience in sub-Sharan Africa or other post-conflict countries + Three (3) years of construction experience focusing on vertical construction + At least two (2) projects valued at least $2 million or greater + Site Management experience is defined as the senior most or second most senior person on the ground for the project; examples of such titles are Site Supervisor or Construction Manager + At least two (2) years of construction experience focusing on installing solar PV systems and medium and low voltage electrical cabling + Proven experience complying with Host Nation building codes or International Building Code - 2018 (IBC-18) and International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) + Application of building code and construction safety and occupational health requirements + Strong personnel and construction site management skills + Proficient using MS Office (MS Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) + Language Requirement: Must demonstrate English Language proficiency including speaking, understanding, and writing skills + Documentation Requirements (Upon Request): Must provide a copy of diploma, copy of certifications (if applicable), English language scores (if applicable), verification of previous employment and construction projects VISTA offers a strong compensation and benefits package including base salary and allowances.
