A semiconductor construction project manager is responsible for overseeing the entire construction process of a semiconductor manufacturing facility, from initial design and planning to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards, while coordinating with various teams including engineers, contractors, and vendors to manage all aspects of the complex construction process, including specialized equipment installation and cleanroom requirements.
Key responsibilities:
Project Planning and Scope Definition:Collaborate with engineering teams to define project scope, deliverables, timelines, and budget constraints. Develop detailed project plans and schedules, including critical milestones and resource allocation. Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to identify potential challenges. Team Management:Lead a cross-functional team of construction managers, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors. Assign tasks, delegate responsibilities, and monitor team performance. Foster collaboration and communication between different stakeholders. Construction Oversight:Manage the construction process, including site preparation, foundation laying, building erection, and cleanroom installation. Oversee the installation of specialized semiconductor manufacturing equipment, ensuring proper alignment and functionality. Monitor quality control measures throughout construction to meet strict industry standards. Budget and Cost Control:Track project expenses and identify potential cost overruns. Implement cost-saving measures and manage vendor contracts to optimize budget allocation. Prepare regular budget reports and forecasts for stakeholders. Risk Management:Identify and mitigate potential construction risks related to safety, schedule, and quality. Develop contingency plans to address unforeseen issues and delays. Compliance and Regulations:Ensure adherence to all relevant construction codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards. Manage permits and necessary approvals for construction activities. Stakeholder Communication:Regularly update clients, sr management, and other stakeholders on project progress and key decisions. Address concerns and resolve issues promptly.Required Skills and Qualifications:
Strong understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes and cleanroom construction requirements.Proven experience managing complex construction projects, preferably in the semiconductor industry.Excellent project management skills, including scheduling, budgeting, and risk assessment.Technical knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment.Strong leadership and team building abilities.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.Proficiency in project management software and toolPay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $75.00/hr.
