Overview
The Geographic Discipline Leader (GDL) serves as pivotal team leader, responsible for all aspects of business management within their geographic area. These responsibilities include overall management of your team, client relationships, business development, and financial performance. Supports overall mission & vision of discipline.

Responsibilities
Team Management:
+ Responsible for all facets of people management including the recruitment, engagement, advancement, and retention of staff, as well as the coordination and oversight of assigned team members.
+ Ensures compliance with and enforces company Health & Safety policies and procedures.
+ Mentor and coach project managers and staff on assigned projects.
+ Manage assigned staff performance and training.
Project/Client Management:
+ Responsible for the client relationships, satisfaction, and quality of work to ensure repeat work.
+ Quality control of work delivery by the assigned team.
+ Relationship management internally and externally for the team.
+ Management of work assignments to achieve utilization goals.
Business Development:
+ Responsible for active participation in the development and execution of business plans for their service line and region.
+ Coordinate with supervisor to develop an annual business plan that incorporates local factors.
+ Regularly coordinate strategy between service lines to identify business development pursuits that cross sell services.
+ Active pursuit of new business opportunities with both existing and new clients, and internal and external relationships.
Financial Management:
+ Responsible for the oversight and financial health of your team, including profitability, utilization, and execution of financial goals for their business as directed by supervisor.
+ Responsible for oversight of PM performance, billings, and collections.
+ Coordinate with supervisor to review adjustment of budgets and rates.
+ Monitor the performance of the business to meet or exceed revenue and/or profit goals.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in related field.
Experience: Relevant leadership experience in a related field.
Experience in developing new business in the greater Philadelphia marketplace:
+ Understanding of the local business dynamics.
+ Relationships with decision makers.
+ Experience finding and securing new business relationships.
Experience in all areas of People Management:
+ Recruitment & Staffing: Hiring and managing team resources.
+ Employee Engagement & Retention: Fostering a positive work environment and reducing turnover.
+ Mentorship & Coaching: Developing managers and team members' skills and performance.
+ Performance Management: Setting goals, conducting reviews, and addressing issues.
+ Training & Development: Identifying and facilitating training for managers and staff.
+ Compliance & Policy Enforcement: Ensuring adherence to company policies, especially in health and safety.
+ Workload Management: Distributing work efficiently across the team.
+ Conflict Resolution: Handling team and managerial conflicts to maintain productivity.
Relevant experience in all areas of Project Management:
+ Preparing Proposals.
+ Developing & Tracking Budgets.
+ Financial Management Skills.
+ Client Management.
+ Proven ability to run a successful team and monitor the performance of the business.
Certifications/Licensures:
+ Professional licensure in area of expertise preferred.
Skills/Abilities:
+ Excellent communication skills.
+ Strategic thinking.
+ Effective delegation skills.
+ Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and offices.
+ Holds others accountable.
+ Ability to read, write and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.
