We are looking for a P&C Claims Consultant who will manage commercial insurance claims for all lines of business (except Workers Compensation and Bonds) for our large commercial department.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE P&C CLAIMS CONSULTANT:

Report commercial property and liability claims to the appropriate carrier(s) on behalf of our clientsEnsure that clients understand the claims process and timelinesPerform timely data entry of claims information into the agency management systemAct as a liaison between client and carrier to facilitate the exchange of claims information as neededMonitor and manage claims for proper reserves, appropriate actions, and closure in accordance with MMA Bouchard Best PracticesResolves complex situations on own initiative whenever possibleIdentify problematic claims and take action to mitigate potential adverse effectsAdvocate on behalf of our clients during claim denials and reservation of rights; negotiate to achieve optimal coverage positionServe as a technical resource to sales and service teams to answer coverage and procedural questionsParticipate in onboarding and/or claims review calls with selected clients

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

Florida 2-20 License or 6-20 Adjuster License or their equivalent from another stateMinimum of 3 years commercial insurance account management or multi-line claims experienceCommercial coverage knowledge of the following: Automobile (1st party and liability), General Liability, Professional Liability, Property, Inland Marine, Employment Practices Liability, Directors & Officers Liability, Cyber Liability, Umbrella/Excess coverages.Strong working knowledge of policy language and coverage across (multiple lines of coverage is a plus)Working knowledge of latest Microsoft productsStrong telephone and business writing skills along with knowledge of email etiquetteEffective reasoning and analytical skills and ability to manage multiple tasksExcellent organizational skills with high attention to detailResponsive and self-motivated team playerAbility to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
