ResponsibilitiesOur P6 Project Scheduling and Controls Specialist has the opportunity to collaborate with our project management teams and senior leadership, analyzing cost and schedules for critical project success. A typical day may include developing reports, preparing engineering project schedules using Primavera P6, attending meetings, and effectively collaborating with project managers, project engineers and other key stakeholders. You will also need to:
Project Scheduling & Planning Excellence: Utilize Primavera P6 to develop engineering project schedules, including WBS and logic-driven activities using the critical path method. Resource-load project schedules based on project management’s estimates and budgets. Revise, maintain, and re-baseline project schedules throughout the lifecycle, incorporating weekly updatesPerformance Analysis & Reporting: Analyze critical and near-critical paths to meet key project objectives. Conduct Earned Value (EV) and variance analysis to assess cost and schedule performance. Prepare, review, and distribute scheduling reports, including EV and customized reports using P6 and Excel. Ensure accurate reporting, variance explanations, and progress updates against physical % complete and cost budgetsStakeholder Collaboration & Communication: Keep project managers and senior leadership informed of progress, delays, cost overruns, and key productivity metrics by tracking KPIs and trends. Collaborate with project managers, project engineers, and stakeholders across divisions to maintain project schedules. Interface with ENERCON’s client counterparts for smooth communication and schedule alignment Qualifications
This position covers a range of internal levels. Minimum qualifications for our mid-level position are shown below:
Bachelor’s Degree in applicable field; and minimum of 5 years of Primavera P6 experience, or Associates Degree in applicable field or P6 certification and minimum of 6 years of Primavera P6 experience, or a minimum of 7 years of Primavera P6 experience Demonstrated proficiency using Primavera P6 software for schedule development & reporting in the engineering, construction or relevant industryExperience with Microsoft Office Suite of programs including ExcelStrong organizational, communication & collaboration skills to manage multiple schedules and interface with multiple project managers and project engineersAbility to work hybrid or remotely and independently with a high level of attention to detailAbility to travel (up to 20%) to various ENERCON and/or client offices and sites as neededAbility to pass a pre-employment and random drug and alcohol screenings, ENERCON and client specific background checks, and annual motor vehicle record (MVR) according to company and client policies
Salary Range Information
Mid-level P6 have a range starting at $90,000.
The range increases based on role, level and location ($90,000 - $130,000 per year).
Within the range, individual pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
