We are assisting a fully integrated infrastructure provider in their search for a highly skilled and experienced Steel & Cladding Package Manager to oversee the successful delivery of steel and cladding works on hyperscale Data Centre projects. As a Steel & Cladding Package Manager you will be responsible for managing the design, procurement, installation, and quality control of all steel and cladding systems. You ideally have extensive experience in construction project management, with a deep understanding of steel structures and cladding systems, strong leadership abilities, and a commitment to ensuring safety, quality, and timely completion.
Key Responsibilities & Requirements:
Lead and manage the steel and cladding work packages from initial design through to final installation, ensuring alignment with project goals, timelines, and budgets.
Participate in tender, preconstruction, construction, procurement process for steel and cladding materials, coordinating with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of high-quality materials.
Work closely with design teams, structural engineers, and architects to review and approve steel and cladding designs, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
Manage subcontractors and on-site teams responsible for steel and cladding installation, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
Monitor progress on-site, addressing any issues or delays, and implement corrective actions as needed to keep the project on track.
Conduct regular inspections and quality checks of steel and cladding installations, ensuring all work adheres to technical specifications, building codes, and safety regulations.
Ensure that health and safety regulations are strictly followed during the execution of all steel and cladding works.
Coordinate with other construction package managers to ensure seamless integration of steel and cladding with other building systems.
Prepare regular progress reports for senior management, highlighting key milestones, risks, and issues.
Manage project documentation related to the steel and cladding package, including contracts, drawings, specifications, and inspection records.
Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
Significant experience in managing steel and cladding packages within the construction with focus on Data Centre projects.
In-depth knowledge of steel structures, cladding systems, and associated industry standards and regulations.
Proven experience in managing subcontractors, on-site teams, and ensuring project delivery within scope, budget, and time limitations.
Strong understanding of health and safety regulations related to steel and cladding works.
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
