Package Specialist - SAP HANA Basis
CTG is seeking to fill a Package Specialist - SAP HANA Basis opening for our client in Lisle, IL. Location: Lisle, IL Duration: Ongoing Contract Duties: Provide support and administration of SAP HANA environments, including SAP HANA Basis, system installation, configuration, and troubleshooting. Assist in the migration, upgrade, and implementation of SAP S/4HANA systems. Monitor and optimize SAP HANA performance, including system tuning, backup, and recovery procedures. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy SAP applications and ensure seamless integration with other systems. Troubleshoot and resolve system issues related to SAP HANA. Maintain and configure SAP environments in the cloud, working with cloud infrastructure and technologies. Work on system security, user management, and SAP landscape management. Ensure adherence to best practices in SAP HANA architecture, deployment, and management. Skills: Strong knowledge of SAP Basis with a focus on SAP HANA and S4 HANA. Experience with SAP cloud environments and cloud solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure). Expertise in system performance monitoring, optimization, and troubleshooting. In-depth understanding of SAP HANA architecture, backup, recovery, and high availability. Experience with SAP upgrade, migration, and installation processes. Proficiency with SAP Landscape Management (SLM) and SAP Solution Manager. Familiarity with databases, operating systems (Linux/Unix/Windows), and virtualization technologies. Strong understanding of ITIL and system management practices. Experience: 5+ years of experience in SAP Basis, specifically with SAP HANA or S/4HANA. Hands-on experience in SAP HANA system administration and troubleshooting. Proven experience working in cloud-based SAP environments. Previous experience with SAP migrations, upgrades, and implementations. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience). Relevant SAP certifications (e.g., SAP Certified Technology Associate – SAP HANA). Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
