Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Packager for the 2nd shift, from 10am-6pm, Monday to Friday. You will be working in an industrial environment, with a focus on packaging steel plates and sheets to customer specifications. This role involves physical labor, operating machinery, and working as part of a team.

ResponsibilitiesWork in an industrial environment on your feet for the entire shiftPackage steel by banding large plates to customer specificationsLearn and follow customer requirements for each order, including skidded wood runners, banding, and waterproof paperCollaborate with another packager to complete tasksPackage 50-100 bundles of steel plates/sheets per day, each weighing 2,000-5,000 lbsUse plastic banding for 99% of packaging tasksRead work instructions and follow guidance from the team leadOperate a stacker machine, load coils, and make skidsUse hand tools, nail guns, and staplersOperate an overhead crane and tow motorEssential SkillsExperience in packaging and steel manufacturingAbility to operate a forkliftAbility to lift 50 lbsExperience working in a fast-paced environmentExperience using hand toolsWhy Work Here?

Work Environment

You will be working in a steel manufacturing environment which can be hot in the summer and cold in the winter. The facility has large garage doors that open up to allow semi-trucks to drive inside for loading and unloading products.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00
